Tony and Sarah will never forget that day in 2011 when they met with a bankruptcy lawyer. At the time, they were already building this business, but they worried their growing checks wouldn’t keep pace with the massive debts they’d piled on in their previous business.
“I remember crying that night; personal bankruptcy is something we just never expected to be dealing with,” Sarah remembers. “Then, the next morning at 4 a.m., Tony came into our room and woke me up to tell me how much our check with this business was for that month: $15,696! So, of course, we cried again.”
Tony used to own a cabinetmaking company. But in 2007, he lost that company and immediately took a full-time job for a pay cut. At that point, they found an MLM company and they thought they’d found a way to make up for the shortfall. They took a risk and signed up.
“That MLM consumed our lives, took us away from our children and essentially made us stop dreaming,” Tony says. “It almost felt like being on Survivor – you never kew who was going to disappear next.”
With the fallout from their MLM experience, they again found themselves in financial turmoil. When they discovered THIS business, they started out with the intention of just being customers.
Three weeks later, their experience with the product line was phenomenal, so they decided to build a business. As they continued to build their business and work their their team, one of their team members called them to let them know that their income with this business helped them to pay their mortgage. “That’s when I realized that this business could do for others what it’s done for us.
Today, thanks to this business they are dreaming again. In the last 14 months, they’ve paid off $70,000 in debt and they have rediscovered the freedom so spend the time with their family. They’ve set a debt-free date for next year, and they’ve restored their family’s financial security.
“It felt like we’d been climbing this mountain with our fingers,” Sarah says, “and someone threw us a lifeline.”
